I’M STILL ME
I’m not a young as I used to be
But when I look in the mirror I still see ME.
The same red hair, same eyes that glow
The same young girl that I used to know.
Not much has changed over the years
Though life has changed through the tears.
I still feel the same as I did back then
But looking back, I see where I’ve been.
What brought me to this place in time
The memories I’ve left behind.
The joy, the sadness, and sometimes pain
I look to the future and what I have to gain.
Yes, I’m still ME, somewhat wiser now
Not the young girl, but still me somehow.
I don’t feel older, even if I should
I’m as young as I feel, and I feel good!
